Information Collection and Use
Information Collection
ClickRSVP collects two types of information from two types of users: 1) ClickRSVP clients and prospects (“ClickRSVP Users and ClickRSVP User”) and, 2) customers and prospects of ClickRSVP’s clients (“Client Users and Client User”).
ClickRSVP is the sole owner of the information collected from ClickRSVP Users. In the case of Client Users, ClickRSVP acts as an agent and service bureau of the Client and collects information on behalf of the Client. The Client is the sole owner of the Client Users information collected by ClickRSVP.
Information Use
For ClickRSVP Users: ClickRSVP uses the information it collects from and about users to deliver product and service information as requested by its clients and prospects. This may include contact by telephone, fax, postal mail, email, and web documents. ClickRSVP does not share this information with any third party.
For Client Users: ClickRSVP uses the information it collects from and about users to assist clients in delivering product and service information, ClickRSVP uses information from and about Client Users as specifically directed and authorized by each Client. This typically involves contacting Client Users via email and/or web page documents, for a specific purpose defined and controlled by the Client.
Profile
ClickRSVP Users: We store information that we collect through web registration forms, session cookies, log files, clear gifs, and/or third parties to create a profile of our users. A profile is stored information that we keep on individual users that details their viewing preferences and product interests. This profile is used to direct pertinent marketing promotions to them. We do not share your profile with other third parties.
Client Users: We store information that we collect through web registration forms, session cookies, log files, clear gifs, and/or third parties to create a profile of our Client Users. A profile is stored information that we keep on individual users that details their viewing preferences and product interests. This profile is used to direct pertinent marketing promotions to them. We share your profile only with the specific Client with which you are associated.
Cookies A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s computer tied to information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. We use session ID cookies only. For the session ID cookie, once users close the browser, the cookie simply terminates.
Log Files
Like most standard Web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs) We employ [or our third party advertising company employs] a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of ClickRSVP Users and Client Users while they are responding to emails delivered by ClickRSVP and while they are visiting web pages under the control or ClickRSVP or, in some cases, a ClickRSVP Client. Clear gifs are tied to users’ personally identifiable information.
In addition, we use clear gifs in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by the recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. If users would like to opt-out of these emails, please see the Opt-out section.
